To lose weight in a week you need to help your body expel waste as efficiently as possible. Although you think your elimination cycles are regular, waste may be trapped in the bowels for a lot longer than you think. If your body can get rid of waste faster and more efficiently, you’ll lose weight in a week, and can choose to continue cleansing and shedding even more unwanted pounds using the same techniques.

1. Hydration and Elimination Weight Loss

No mater what you eat, adding about 10 glasses of pure water to your intake will make a big difference to elimination. Dehydration is one reason the body can’t cleanse itself or rid itself of waste. Drink BETWEEN meals not immediately before, during or after. Even if you do nothing else during the week, you can easily set a timer to drink a glass of water every half hour or 15 minutes. In another meal, eat only the potatoes with salad or veggies. Eat fruit when you like, but make it the first thing you eat – not the last. Try to space fruit at least a half hour to 45 minutes away from proteins / carbohydrates. If you can eliminate dairy products for a week, you’ll feel better. Sip a gentle laxative tea before going to bed. Increase your water intake and you’ll undoubtedly lose weight faster and feel energized during your 7 day weight loss program.

3. Fresh Raw Juice

This is perhaps the quickest way to lose weight and the healthiest means to cleanse your body of toxins and boost energy levels. Drink 8 to 10 glasses of fresh celery, carrot , apple and other veggie extracts during 7 days. Drink veggie juice between meals or as meal replacements. If you continue eating solid food, the meals should consist primarily of fresh raw vegetables and light olive oil dressings. Aside from apple juice, limit your fruit juice intake because the high sugar content may be counterproductive to weight loss if you only have a week to cleanse.

4. Raw Vegan For a Week

If you normally eat red meat, poultry, fish, eggs and dairy products, simply eliminate them for ONE week. Become a raw vegan for 7 days and see how you feel. Start your day with fresh fruit and a fiber drink, have vegetable juice or raw veggie salads for lunch and dinner, and drink herbal tea in the evening. Get a raw food recipe book and plan meals with avocado dressings, almond butter, olive oil, garlic, cayenne, lemon and Basmati rice. It’s just a week, to give your system an break from processing heavier foods, so you don’t need to worry about protein deficiency just yet. Go RAW for a few days and see how you feel.

5. Fasting for Health and Weight Loss

Otherwise healthy individuals who want to lose weight in a week, and have lots of willpower, and feel they can go without food for a while, may find a water diet beneficial. Fasting isn’t just the act of ceasing to eat and drink thereby starving the body, but a controlled process of intensely hydrating the tissue with pure water. The original water diet theory of using “cold water”, even chewing on ice, may be less important than simply drinking water in large quantities. This means of weight loss is not recommended for anyone with medical conditions. Diabetics should never do a plain water detox. Some people may require professional supervision while fasting.
